I’m in my early seventies, so I’ve had to revise my views about life and faith a number of times over the years.
Some days I have a huge confidence in God, and my relationship to Him. Other days He can seem quite distant, but ‘perseverance’ has been a kind of watchword in my spiritual life.
Supervision for me is primarily listening, letting the supervisee talk. At times there’s a need to prompt, at times a need to question, at times a need to wait. Not every supervision relationship works out, and supervision takes time.
I have supervised one supervisee by Skype, successfully.
I was brought up as a Catholic, foolishly tried to abandon God for a couple of years in my late twenties, and came back to Him via a Pentecostal Church where my family and I stayed for nearly fifteen years. Moved to Hanover St Baptist in 1989, (it’s now called Dunedin City Baptist) and have been there ever since.
I have spent seventeen years managing an interdenominational Christian bookshop in Dunedin. I know Christians from a variety of denominations, and see God working in people of all kinds. Much of my (non-working) life has been spent with singers and musicians, and people involved in theatre. I’ve also written three books, published in e-format.

Hi Mike, met Celia yesterday and I was reminded of your piano playing. Good to see you are still so active.
